Broadband Is Here!
Our broadband connection has been turned on four days early. It wasn’t due to go on until Monday according to the Zen reseller tools, but BT and Zen Internet seems to have done the business early. The router was announcing the availability of ADSL when we check it this evening. It is our belief that it went live sometime between 3pm and 10pm.
It is really noticeable when checking, downloading and uploading email. Previously, this could to take anywhere for 5 seconds to 15 minutes depending on the emails being downloaded. Now it is a mere few seconds!
However, the greatest benefits are getting rid of the modem cable from the laptop and having the telephone line free for calls.
Now where is that Internet so we can download the lot of it!

It is always good good to get a new broadband, especially when it’s connected before deadline. I got mine connected just a few days ago and I am really happy. The old school modems are a thing of past now, I remember downloading and sending emails 10+ years back on the 33kbit modem connection.. Good old times, now we have a broadband and it is a matter of seconds now.
