One of our customers called with a non-bootable system. We’ve still to look at the problem, but fear either the drive has failed or a virus has corrupted the drive. If it is the later, we may need to do an OS reinstall. We don’t recommend you follow the advice of this computer tech!
For all those people requiring computer support in Fife, we’re here to assist you. We promise not to follow the advice and standards presented in this video-clip.

I found luck booting from a new drive, plugging in the old one after the success, and ‘evacuating’ the contents of the wonky drive to the new drive.
My thanks to Western Digital for their rapid replacement program (where they send you a new disc before you send the old one to them).

That’s all good and well as long as Windows still thinks it is a FAT(32) or NTFS formatted drive. It thought this particular drive was a non-Windows or unformatted drive… oh my!
